Hearth and Home

T. S. Eliot’s, “Home is where one starts from.” is a favorite quote. When we begin to write we are told that to write well and with passion we should write about what we know best. Borrowing that same principle gave birth to my pieces that revolve around home. In some the theme is apparent but in others it seems obscure at best. For instance in the Charcoal Burner you may wonder about my train of thought. It was inspired by a poem from Now we Are Six by A. A. Milne, a comforting author for me as a child and even now as an adult.
